Awards were presented to students across all year groups at the Blyth School Community College’s annual awards evening.
More than 100 students were nominated by staff for outstanding achievement and progress in academic and personal performance.
A number of youngsters received excellence awards for their achievements in areas across the curriculum, including maths, English, science, music, languages and vocational courses.
Meanwhile Year 10 students Jessica Waugh and Marc Grey were crowned Students of the Year for working hard in school and volunteering their free time to take part in extra-curricular activities.
Year 11 student Philip Ward was this year’s winner of The Keel Row Award, in recognition of his studying efforts across three years in the run up to his GCSEs.
Acting headteacher Alison Jobling said: “The annual awards allows parents and staff to celebrate the achievements of our outstanding students.
“We are committed towards achieving success for every student in the school and take great pleasure in rewarding so many of our students who have worked extremely hard this year.”
