More than 1,500 students from across Northumberland have taken part in a county-wide school games.
Schools from across the county met at Concordia Sports Centre in Cramlington to compete in a range of sports, representing their area.
Youngsters aged eight to 16 ook part in competitions in 16 sports, and were joined by more than 100 volunteers who supported the day’s activities.
The School Games were overseen by a Local Organising Committee (LOC) which was represented by local head teachers and other school staff, National Governing Bodies for Sport (NGBs), the Youth Sport Trust, young people and other local partners including Northumberland Sport.
Sixth form students from Cramlington Learning Village helped organise the event as part of their community challenge week, where they took responsibility for directing students to the right events and taking the role of mascot.
