STAFF at a Bedlington supermarket joined forces with colleagues across the country to take part in a £1m festive fundraising weekend to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The staff at the Bedlington Tesco store took part in a Cycle to Lapland challenge, where a total of 4,000 miles had to be cycled across all the stores.

Mikey Kirkpatrick, from Guidepost, who took part, said: “Money raised will go to help support research into earlier diagnoses and detection.”
