Volunteers helping support victims of Typhoon Hiayan in the Philippines have thanked a local football club and its supporters.
Ashington CFC held a collection at their home game against Bishop Auckland and donated a percentage of the gate money to help the victims.
And members of FLOW Northumberland, who helped collect the money, have thanked club officials and their fans for the support.
A group spokesperson said: “We would like to give a public ‘thank you’ to both Ashington Football Club and especially Wansbeck MP Ian Lavery.”
The group has been collecting clothes, food, medicine and toys to send to the Phillipines.
