Tap & Spile in regional success

A MORPETH pub has won a regional award.

The Tap & Spile in Manchester Street, was the winner of the Tyneside and Northumberland branch of Camra (Campaign for Real Ale).

The Morpeth establishment saw off the challenge of a host of other pubs to win the south east Northumberland title.

Second place went to the Three Horseshoes in High Horton, with the Delaval Arms in Old Hartley a close third.

The overall Northumberland title went to the Boathouse in Wylam.
