Police searching for three missing brothers who grew up in Blyth have made two arrests.
The investigation into the whereabouts of missing Remus, Janko and David, who went missing from their home in Sunderland on Monday and have not yet been found, is continuing.
Following enquiries, police arrested two people, a man aged 34 and a woman aged 39, at an address in Birmingham at approximately 11pm on Wednesday, August 13.
They have both been arrested in connection with the boys disappearance. They are currently in custody in the West Midlands where Northumbria Police have sent detectives to question them.
Enquiries are continuing today in both Birmingham and in London.
Superintendent Alan Veitch, of Sunderland Area Command, said: “This is a fast moving enquiry and we are liaising with forces around the country and making active enquiries in both Birmingham and London.”
