Vans broken into by thieves

THIEVES have targeted a number of vans in Cramlington.

Police are appealing for witnesses after four vans were broken into between Wednesday, January 2, and Thursday, January 3.

A transit van was broken into in Gresham Close, where the offender broke the passenger window of the cab but nothing was stolen; a Nissan van was broken into in Windburgh Drive and a number of high value tools were stolen; a Ford transit van was broken into in Whitelaw Place and a sat nav was stolen; and thieves also attempted to break into an Iveco Daily van in Windemere Close, but nothing was stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
