Woman pushed over as thief steals her handbag

AN ELDERLY woman was pushed to the ground by a thief who made off with her bag.

The woman had been in Mindrum Way, Seaton Delaval, just before 10.20pm on Wednesday, February 27, when she was knocked over by a man.

The attacker then made off with her bag on a bicycle along Mindrum Way heading to Elsdon Avenue.

He is described as being in his 30s, wearing dark clothing.
