Work continues to replace roof at Delaval Hall
Seaton Delaval Hall having its roof repaired.
A POPULAR visitor attraction in the county is set to reopen next month after the completion of much needed repairs.
Work is currently underway repairing the roof at Seaton Delaval Hall which is due to reopen on March 25.
It is the first time the hall has closed since it re-opening to the public in 2010, after the local community raised £6.3m to keep it in the custody of English Heritage.
The hall closed in December to allow the new roof to be put on the east wing and for the central hall to be re-wired.
Stonemasons are currently also working on the chimneys and ‘urns’ ahead of the reopening next month.
