Youngsters are given a festive treat from firm

CHILDREN from children’s centres in Blyth are among hundreds of lucky little ones in the region who will be getting a big surprise this Christmas with a massive donation of cuddly teddy bears from a healthcare company.

Youngsters at the Barnardo’s centres have received the bears donated by York-based Benenden Healthcare Society.

Marc Bell, from the firm, said: “With this donation of 1,000 teddy bears to Barnardo’s North East being one of the biggest donations to over 30 organisations, we’re delighted that the charity will be able to use the donation to make a small but significant difference to children’s lives in Northumberland this Christmas.”
