Man dies after being struck by train at Cramlington

A MAN died after he was struck by a train in Cramlington on Saturday morning.

British Transport Police were called to Cramlington Station at 9.25am after reports that a man had been struck by a train.

Officers from the transport police attended the scene where they confirmed it was non-suspicious death.

Paramedics attended but the male was pronounced dead at the scene.

A file is being prepared for the coroner.
