Market bringing people into town

I AGREE with Jack Gale (News Post Leader, letters, October 11) as I visited Blyth’s new Wednesday market.

I haven’t seen as many people in Blyth for years, whereas Manor Walks was empty.

The combination of market and car boot sale seems to bring people into the town.

What Blyth needs is shops like the Yorkshire shop; Home Bargains and Poundland etc, as people like a bargain.

Why not have the same type of market on a Saturday?

Imagine the numbers of people it could bring into the town on a nice day. I feel it is what Blyth needs.
