Mother and daughter hit by motorbike

A MOTHER and her daughter were left shocked after being hit by a motorbike in Blyth.

The crash took place around 4.15pm on Wednesday, June 8, on Cowpen Road, when a 25-year-old woman and her five-year-old daughter were crossing the road.

A red motorbike hit the couple and then drove off.

The bike may have had an L-plate attached to a rear suspension strut.

The pair were treated at the scene by the ambulance service for cuts and grazes.
