A BLYTH businesswoman who provides children’s arts and craft activities across the country is in the running for a top award after being nominated by impressed parents.

Diane Wilkinson, who runs The Creation Station, has been nominated for Most Outstanding Activity Leader for the Under 5s (East) in the What’s On 4 2013 Awards, in association with Konfidence.

The awards programme, which is supported by ABC Magazine, is now in its seventh year and celebrates the best activities, classes, volunteers and venues from throughout the UK as nominated and voted for by parents and parents-to-be.

Diane provides children’s arts and crafts classes at soft play venues, cafes and churches across the county and beyond.

The 44-year-old also runs creative development classes, ‘arty parties’, early years workshops and family events and entertainment.

Diane, of Plessey Road, Blyth, said: “I am so excited because I have only been doing this a year so it means a lot to me that my customers have taken the time to nominate me and they value what I do.

“I am a mum myself and I absolutely love what I do. It is the best job in the world.”

The winners will be announced at Brighton Racecourse on Sunday, June 30. To vote for Diane visit www.whatson4littleones.co.uk, www.whatson4schoolkids.co.uk or www.whatson4kidsparties.co.uk between March 18 and May 28.
