Museum benefits from a funding boost

A Northumberland visitor attraction has secured a £205,000 grant from Arts Council England’s Museum Resilience Fund.

Woodhorn Charitable Trust is one of 94 museums and organisations across England to receive support from a pot of over £12.2m in the second round of the fund.

The grants aim to support museums to become more sustainable and resilient businesses.

Woodhorn’s interim director Jo Raw said: “We are thrilled to have been successful in our bid to the Arts Council England Museum Resilience Fund for £205,000 to develop and implement a new customer relationship management system, which will integrate with a new EPOS till system for retail, café and venue hire use.”

In the last two rounds the Arts Council has awarded £30m through the fund.
