I am writing in response to the letter from a dog owner in Seaton Sluice who was approached by an animal welfare officer (News Post Leader, letters, December 12).
Please, please, will that officer come to Blyth town centre especially, but even the residential areas are littered with dog fouling.
Believe me, with the £75 on the spot fines they could get from the irresponsible dog owners in Blyth they would make a fortune.
I just wish these people could be caught and make Blyth once more the clean place it used to be years ago.
I cannot understand the ignorance of these owners. They should be named and shamed. This might make them think twice next time they leave dog’s mess behind for others to accidentally step in or push their prams/pushchairs through.
