A police officer has joined the beat in Morpeth as the town’s new neighbourhood beat manager.
Pc Lee Taylor will take on the role, and will replace Pc Dean Rowell who has moved on to take up the neighbourhood beat manager post at Corbridge.
Pc Taylor, who is moving to the role from Pegswood, brings a wealth of experience to the role, with 27 years of service.
He said: “I am looking forward to working with people in the community, not only residents, but also community groups, other emergency services, and partner organisations.
“In particular I will be working closely with Pubwatch, and the local shops, schools and hospitals, and liaising with organisers of local events in Morpeth.
“Morpeth is a lovely place for people to live, work, and visit, and I am happy to be part of a team which is committed to keeping it safe for everyone.”
