Winners of a storytelling competition have seen their work come alive after being turned into real books.

Active Northumberland launched a storytelling competition earlier this year to create a new Northumberland legend inspired by the stunning Northumberlandia human landform sculpture near Cramlington.

Anne Curtis, of Shoo Fly publishing, conducted workshops with local pupils and a young writers group.

The winners from the four age categories received an illustrated version of their entries as e-books, and the overall winner, 12 year old Milly Davis, received an illustrated version of her entry.
