RESIDENTS of East Bedlington will not face a rise in their council tax precept this coming year.
The only increase there will be is to the cost services provided by East Bedlington Parish Council.
Council chairman Alex Wallace said: “We will continue to work with all the schools and community groups in the area and will be holding a fun day at Cambois in the summer.
“We have been able to achieve this balanced budget by utilising £17,000 from balances and £20,000 from county councillor Geoff Gobin’s small grants scheme, which will be used exclusively for new build shelters along the Cambois Foreshore.”
The council has also budgeted for new facilities in the Free Wood at Furness Bank.
Environmental improvements introduced this year in Bedlington Station will be continued and extended out to the Oval area and East Sleekburn.
