HIGH school students were given an Olympic treat last week when triathlete Helen Jenkins visited Blyth.

Helen, who finished a respectable fifth in the London 2012 Games, helped to deliver a session with Year 12 and Year 13 students at The Blyth School Community College.

This was then followed by a triathlon themed lesson, where Year 7 students competed against each other in an indoor event.

The day was also an opportunity for the Year 10 and Year 11 students to help and support the sessions.

They were given the chance to interact with Helen on the day and find out more about her experience in what has been described as one of the most successful Olympic Games ever.
