If you’re barking about dogs, then get yourself to Bedlington Cricket Club on Sunday, June 4, as the Bedlington Terrier North East Association is organising what it hopes will be the largest gathering of the breed – about 200.

Public entry for the event, which raises money for good causes, is from 9am and it includes a walk starting at 11am that will go from the ground, along the main street to the war memorial and back again.

The family dog show will begin at 12.30pm and there is plenty on offer for the terriers, including fun flyballers and hygiene grooming.

Face-painting, a raffle and tombola are among the activities for people and there will be music from Koast Radio as well as a range of stalls.

Entry is £5 per family. Hot food will be served all day and tea and coffee will be available.
