Have your say

I JUST want to let readers know that the schools in Ashington Learning Partnership (Ashington High, Wansbeck Bothal, and Central Hirst Park) together with Ashington Lionesses, raised a total of £6,000 for the pearl of Africa Children’s Choir from Uganda.

The choir gave three awe-inspiring concerts at the schools last week, involving pupils.

Fundraising activities such as non uniform days, raffles, copper pots and silver maps contributed to the much needed funds for education and child care as well as ticket sales and the sale of the choir’s hand made crafts. Once again, thank you to all the children, staff, parents, and friends of Ashington Learning Partnership for their generosity and love for our African friends.

We wish them well on their tour around England.
