Pet store saving both money and animals

A CRAMLINGTON pet store has raised more than £1,500 for charity.

Staff at Pets at Home have been fundraising for the Support Adoption for Pets charity.

Their final total of £1,588 was added to the company’s other 280 outlets to make a grand total of £54,190.

Last month the store teams hosted pet adoption workshops and held a raffle.

The money raised will help promote and encourage the re-homing of pets, and support animal welfare organisations.

Cramlington store manager Colin Dale said: “The response from our customers was fantastic and I’d like to thank them for their generosity.

“I’d also like to thank my store team for being so enthusiastic and getting behind the fundraising drive 100 per cent.

“The money will be used to support local rescues and re-homing centres, which are working hard to find homes for pets in the community.”
