PEOPLE are being encouraged to take a look at emerging proposals for a new development in Blyth.

Plans for Commissioners Quay on Blyth Quayside, being delivered by Arch, the Northumberland Development Company, will be on display on Thursday, April 18, at Blyth Community Enterprise Centre on Ridley Street, from 3pm to 7pm.

Arch has appointed a specialist team led by award winning Xsite Architecture to prepare plans for new serviced office accommodation, referred to as Blyth Workspace.

The development is looking to attract £3m European Regional Development Funding and £2.5m Homes and Communities Agency funding and to start onsite later this year.

Over the next three years Arch is leading the delivery of the development and regeneration of the wider Commissioners Quay site on Blyth Quayside as part of the broader regeneration of Blyth Estuary and town centre.

Peter McIntyre, Arch Group managing director, said: “This is a flagship project for Arch, our partners and Blyth, designed to build on key business strengths of the sub-region and to establish facilities which will attract and grow new jobs and high growth enterprises.”
