A team of helpers from a county supermarket have helped to brighten up an outdoor children’s play area.

Staff from Asda have been busy painting the area at Briardale Community Centre that is used by Bright Beginnings, a mum and toddler group for able bodied and special needs children.

Dawn Hood, who runs Bright Beginnings, said: “I run the group voluntarily twice a week as a way to give me a break from my disabled son Anthony who is at home with myself and my husband 24/7.

“The group has become my respite, so to speak.

“The helpers from Asda came along to brighten up the children’s play area at the Briardale Community Centre with paint kindly donated from Akzonobel.”
