DISABLED youngsters are getting into the swing of things thanks to a new feature at a play park.
The park for under tens now features a new swing for disabled children thanks to support from local councillor Margaret Richards.
Along with Coun Bobby Nixon, they covered the £7,000 cost of the swing from their allocation in the Members Small Improvement Grant Scheme.
The new swing, now position at Astley Park in Seaton Delaval, features a special seat and harness for disabled children to be fastened in.
Coun Richards said: “There are a number of children in the Seghill, Seaton Delaval and Holywell areas who will be able to use the swing, which is the main reason I support the initiative.”
