MY name is Julie Butler and I am the founder of Bailey’s Bike Ride.
My son, Bailey, was born two months premature in September 2007, he was very small and spent around four weeks on Special Care at Wansbeck General Hospital.
They cared for both Bailey and us in all that time and to show our gratitude for the care they gave us, we hold an annual event called Bailey’s Bike Ride.
Bailey is about to celebrate his fourth birthday and with this we will hold our fourth bike ride on Saturday, September 3, from South Newsham football pavilion to St Mary’s Lighthouse and back.
On the return to the football pavilion there will be a family day consisting of stalls, games, rides, live bands and fun for all the family.
You will need to register online at www.baileysbikeride.com and you can download a sponsor form.
Please come along and be part of something amazing, we need all funds to go towards the purchase of machines called C-PAP.
These machines help premature babies’ lungs when they are first born so are vital equipment.
Please help us to help families of babies born sick or too soon.
