May we say how much we enjoyed the afternoon tea dance at Alnwick Gardens.
It was held to celebrate the completion of a project ‘Digging for Britain’. How the public in Britain during the Second World War had allotments, their gardens and other spare land dug up for vegetables, fruit produce to enable people to survive.
The staff of the project looked after us with great attendance bringing to our table fresh locally cooked produce.
The dancing to a three piece band was above par.
A rare treat we had, thank you to all involved.
