A project looking to bring the generations together has received a cash boost.

Silx Teen Bar has been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to do an inter-generational project on the history of youth work in Blyth from the 1930s to present day.

They have teamed up with ISIS Arts and the over 50s Forum, which meets at Blyth Comrades Club every Friday and are working together to collect photos, stories and memories.

The project will have a launch day in The Keel Row in Blyth on Saturday, July 9, from 10am. Anyone with photos or stories about when they were young and attended youth clubs can pop down. Alternatively, information and photos can be sent to Silx via email at silxteen@aol.com
