Pupils a credit to their schools

I LIVE in the south of England and have a holiday home here and I travel regularly by bus.

I caught the 3pm bus from Newcastle and around 3.30pm we arrived at a bus stop and there were dozens of teenage schoolchildren.

My heart sank, but they piled on in an orderly fashion.

I was struck by how good they looked in their grey uniforms. Their silver and black ties properly done up.

There was a quiet murmur of voices. No shouting, pushing of shoving.

Well done teenagers, you are a credit to your families and school.
