Students at a Blyth academy turned up the glamour to celebrate the end of the school year in style.
Year 11 students at Bede Academy enjoyed their end of year prom at the school’s main hall.
Dressed in glamorous gowns in pastels and brights, some of the girls had spent all afternoon getting ready, and parents and friends turned up at school to wish them well for their big night.
Prom organiser, teacher Vicki Alsop, had transformed the main hall into a Parisian skyline complete with star-studded sky.
She said: “The students said they would like a French theme so we reflected that in the decoration and in the menu, beginning with pate or French onion soup, followed by chicken or beef.
“This is a wonderful evening for the students. They’ve all made a huge effort and look fabulous.
“We hope this night will be a lasting reminder of their time at Bede.”
