Pupils from schools throughout the county took part in a summer sports festival.
More than 1,000 young people from schools across Northumberland competed for the honour of becoming county champions in a range of events at the Northumberland Summer Sainsbury’s School Games Festival.
Croftway Primary School won the Year 3/4 tri-golf competition, Cramlington Learning Village took the Year 9 tennis event and Bede won the Year 4 tennis.
Games organiser and event manager Elizabeth Armstrong said: “The festival was the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication from young people across Northumberland, each of who have competed in two levels of local competitions to reach these finals.
“It is also the result of months of hard work from each of the county’s school games organisers, Northumberland Sport and national governing bodies of sport to plan and deliver the event.”
