STUDENTS have been living the dream as they took a multi-coloured production to the stage.
Pupils from Blyth’s Bede Academy played to packed houses as they staged the popular Joseph featuring his many coloured dreamcoat before family, friends and students from the Academy’s primary years.
Tom Johnson put in a professional performance in the lead role as 35 students joined the cast for a three-night run of the classic musical.
The Academy band performed favourite numbers including Any Dream Will Do, while staging and lighting was managed by the backstage crew.
Directed by teacher Jackie Wighton with support from musical director Helen Kerr, rehearsals began back in September with a cast ranging in age from 11 to 15.
Miss Wighton said: “Joseph is a classic but it is a very demanding musical. All the students did extremely well and were a pleasure to direct.
“I was delighted with the end result and the fact the audience seemed to enjoy it so much.”
