Youngsters at a Cramlington school have been responding to the plight of people affected by the earthquake in Nepal.
The pupils at St Peter and Paul’s Catholic Academies, and St Paul’s Pre-School, have raised more than £1,200 after being moved by the double tragedy that hit the country.
Pupils at the school presented a cheque to a representative from Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, Cafod, which is part of a team of charities working in Nepal.
Jacob Lisle, from Year 6, said: “When we heard about this devastating earthquake we acted immediately in trying to raise as much money as possible for the 8,000,000 people whose lives were shattered.
“We hope that in some small way we have helped.”
