A MUTLI-MILLION pound initiative offering residents in south east Northumberland creative opportunities has appointed its new project director.
The £3m Creative People and Places in South East Northumberland project will be run by Rachel Adam.
Rachel joins the project fresh from directing the NewcastleGateshead festival Juice.
She will lead the project in delivering a two-and-a-half year programme of creative activity.
The programme will consist of high profile arts events intended to create long-term change in levels of arts participation in south east Northumberland.
More than 1,600 people from the area have already given their views and the programme planning is already under way.
Rachel said: “A huge amount of work has already taken place listening to people and mapping out a really clear vision for the Creative People and Places programme.
“I am looking forward to joining the team and working with everyone involved to realise the creative potential across south east Northumberland.”
