Staff at a building society had a blooming great time raising money for a charity.

The Leeds Building Society in Blyth took part in the Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party event to help raise money for the charity whose nurses support terminally ill people.

The event was organised by assistant manager Vicky Sleight and saw customers enjoy refreshments and cakes in return for a small donation.

There was also a raffle with prizes donated by the building society and other local businesses.

Branch manager Jonathon Epworth has been raising money for Marie Curie over the last four years, completed a Coast 2 Coast bike ride earlier this month where he raised more than £800.
