WORK to improve the way the public can access council services in Seaton Delaval will begin next week.
The redevelopment of Seaton Valley Library will provide a single location where customers can use library services, read, study and take out books, use computers and get online, as well as pay council bills, find information and make enquiries regarding all the council’s services.
There are two parts to the renovation work involved; the construction of a new entrance to the school and library, with the installation of two sets of double doors, which will begin on Monday, November 19, and will be completed by Friday December 21, and then work will begin in the ground floor of the current library area on Monday, November 26.
The new facility will be open to the public from Wednesday, January 2.
The opening hours of the building are under review.
