Sand needs to be cleared and soon

‘OH what a lovely beach you have inside the children’s park’.

That’s what visitors think and say when they come to Newbiggin.

The same goes for the promenade, the car park and the church yard at the Church Point.

They are all knee deep in sand and have been all year.

It is the opening of the Heritage Centre on July 30 and Lifeboat Day on July 31.

Let’s hope they get their act together and get everywhere cleaned up.

After spending millions improving Newbiggin the things I have pointed out are letting it down.

Disabled people in wheelchairs and children in pushchairs cannot get along the prom for the sand. I hope to see an improvement shortly.
