An entrepreneurial ten-year-old has raised hundreds of pounds for charity by selling her unwanted toys, books and DVDs.
Sarah Hodgson held a garage sale outside her Cramlington home and she raised £350 for St Oswald’s Hospice.
Sarah said: “I got some flyers printed and I took them round to all the houses on my street with a friend.
“I also put posters on the garage door, so the neighbours knew it was happening.
“Last year it rained, but it was really sunny this year, so more people came. It felt good to raise even more money than last year for St Oswald’s.”
St Oswald’s fundraiser Emma Noble added: “We want to say a big thank you to her for thinking of us and continuing to support the hospice.
“Sarah is an incredible young fundraiser, everyone at St Oswald’s is very impressed with her efforts and raising £350 in a matter of hours is such an achievement.”
