Scheme will provide access to garden tools

GREEN fingered residents now have access to free gardening equipment, thanks to Homes for Northumberland’s Garden Tool Hire scheme.

Tenants living in Blyth will be able to borrow free tool packs, including a lawn mower, trimmers, a spade and a fork, for up to one week until October.

Ray Boycott, managing director at Homes for Northumberland, said: “We are delighted to offer tenants this free Garden Tool Hire scheme as it allows them all to access any tools they may need to keep their garden tidy.

“If tenants are unable to maintain their garden, we may be able to help.

“I’d encourage anyone with any concerns to speak directly with their neighbourhood housing officer who can discuss the options available to them.”
