Sessions will offer advice on adoption and fostering

A SERIES of events is being lined up for people interested in adoption or providing foster care.

The informal sessions will be held by Northumberland County Council to explain the different types of care available to children and young people.

Family support worker Caroline Matthews said: “Two sessions were held in Berwick earlier this year, and these resulted in very positive feedback from the public and firm inquiries for both teams.

“We’re hoping that this new programme of sessions will be equally successful.”

An adoption event will take place on Thursday, November 3, in Morpeth, and fostering events will be held in Ashington on Thursday, June 2, in Blyth on Thursday, September 29, and in Cramlington on Tuesday, January 24, next year.
