I WOULD like to thank everyone who came along and supported us at our annual coffee morning for Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week.
Special thanks must go to Maureen and Heather who run the toddler group at the Bomarsund Welfare for letting me hijack their venue free of charge and did a fantastic job making the teas.
Thanks to North East Drinks Supplies from Barrington Road who kindly donated bottles for the raffle, and the Co-op at Guide Post for also donating raffle prizes.
We had a fantastic morning with a brilliant turnout and managed to raise a staggering £668 in less than two hours.
All the money raised goes to the Northumberland Down’s Syndrome Support Group run by parents, supporting children with Down’s Syndrome and their families and raising awareness.
Thank you to all the mums from the toddler group and from Stakeford First School, customers from the Anglers Arms and everyone else who came.
To all my friends and family for donating goods to sell, for giving up their time to run stalls and for digging deep as always, you are amazing. Hope to see you all again next year.
