Two friends have held charity evenings at a Morpeth restaurant to raise funds for St Oswald’s Hospice.
Verena Harrigan and Pauline Robinson held two nights at Manzil Tandoori Restaurant raising £500 for the hospice in memory of Pauline’s husband Barry, who received care there in 2011.
Pauline said: “The charity is amazing, the support and care really changes people’s lives for the better. When Barry was first diagnosed with cancer, St Oswald’s were so supportive. It’s such a worthwhile cause that helps people of all ages and conditions, not just cancer. They were extremely helpful to me and my family.”
The charity evenings encompassed a three course meal, a raffle and a quiz.
