Residents from care homes across the county joined up to enjoy a ‘spooktacular’ event.
Residents and staff from Scarbrough Court in Cramlington joined with other care homes in the area for a Hallowe’en party at the Briardale Centre in Blyth as part of a MIND Active lunch club activity day.
The party included a two-course lunch followed by live music, dancing and sing-along supported by project volunteers and local entertainers.
Bedlington-based MIND Active is a volunteer-led charity offering support to older people across 42 care and nursing homes in south east Northumberland.
Maureen Rolf, activity co-ordinator at Scarbrough Court, said: “Getting out and about into the community can be difficult for our residents with dementia.
“MIND Active is able to support us and provides us with a chance to enjoy normal activities that many people take for granted.”
