The Sue Ryder Charity shop in Ashington’s Station Road held a vintage tea party last week to celebrate the organisation’s 60th anniversary.
Since Lady Ryder started the charity in 1953, Sue Ryder has been providing care for people with life changing illnesses.
Whether it is bringing comfort to someone’s final days or enabling them to make the most of their lives, staff are there for them and their loved ones.
To celebrate the milestone, staff and volunteers had a vintage themed tea party in the shop.
A spokesperson said they were also delighted to be joined by the mayor of Ashington, Coun Lawrence Henderson, who enjoyed a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
