Success for GCSE students in Cramlington

Youngsters in Northumberland are today celebrating another year of GCSE results success.

Cramlington Learning Village was celebrating the success of their students today as a number of Year 11 pupils achieved the top A* grade in a number of subjects.

A total of 12 students achieved more thanr 100 As and A*s between them.

Laura Foggett, 16, achieved nine A* and two A grades and is planning on continuing at the school’s Sixth Form where she hopes to study A levels in Science in order to become a doctor.

Rachel Carroll, who is also going to study at the Sixth Form, also achieved an impressive ten A*s.

Success was also being celebrated by twins Rebecca and Francesca Garnham who achieved 15 As and A*s between them.

Wendy Heslop, headteacher at Cramlington Learning Village, said: “I am proud of our students’ achievements this summer. Everyone, staff and students, have worked so hard to guarantee these successes.”
