Offering the latest in high-octane cinema, the VueXtreme super-sized screen will be the biggest in the north east at well over the size of two double decker buses, with a brand new 3D sound system.

The screen will provide the ultimate cinema experience and allow viewers to become immersed in the action of blockbuster movies or feel like they are part of the chase in thrillers.

They will showcase the detail of every explosion, emphasise the meet cute in romantic movies and the sound of gun blasts or explosions.

Vue Cramlington will open on Friday, July 5, as part of a leisure and restaurant extension to the existing Manor Walks Shopping Centre.

Cinema manager Jayne Rooney said: “Cinema goers in the north east will be offered an unrivalled cinematic experience, with state of the art digital projectors, immersive sound systems and stepped seating in each auditorium, which will ensure perfect views from every seat.

“Being fully digital means the cinemas will offer a greater choice of films and alternative content including live 2D and 3D music concerts, sporting events, gaming, comedy, opera and ballet.

“This is something that local community has really been looking forward to. They are really excited about it, and everyone is behind it.”

Vue Cramlington will contain 1,300 seats, including ultra-comfortable VIP and disabled seats and will include LED light fittings that typically save up to 80 per cent more energy than standard light fittings, electronic infra-red taps that will minimise water wastage and efficient air conditioning units.

The cinema will also offer a wide choice of competitively priced ticket options to ensure a visit to the cinema will continue to provide great value for money. What’s more, it will offer Vue’s concessions for children, teens, senior and at off peak times, plus Orange Wednesdays and Nectar Point offers.
