Lights will illuminate the arrival of Christmas to Cramlington next week.
Cramlington Town Council, Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure and Active Northumberland will host its annual Christmas Light Switch On event this month.
Hosted by Radio Northumberland, the event held on Saturday, November 22, will kick off with family festive fun from 3pm ahead of the switch on ceremony at 4.30pm, when special guests from family film favourites Ice Age and Frozen will light up the sky at Cramlington Town Square.
Visitors to the event will have the chance to feast on festive food and drink, gaze on at the glowing lantern parade and listen to Christmas classics from performers Joe Allan and the Cramlington Caribbean Crew Steelband.
Little elves will also have the chance to meet and greet Ice Age characters Sid and Scrat at intervals throughout the day at Cramlington Town Council office, which will have been transformed into a winter wonderland with an igloo.
Manor Walks’ general manager Bruno Coppola said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cramlington Town Council, Radio Northumberland and Active Northumberland at this year’s Christmas Light Switch On.
“This event is always a wonderful opportunity to reward and thank our visitors for their support and loyalty.
“We hope to enchant and excite our visitors throughout the festive period by bringing a programme of events and offers to the centre.”
Julie Nash, from Cramlington Town Council, added: “We look forward to welcoming another great turn out this year as visitors enjoy the magical array of family fun events on offer.”
