We are all experiencing cuts to local services due to government funding restraints.
Why then do local football teams think it appropriate to leave their discarded drinks bottles all over publicly maintained grounds after their fixtures?
Surely the players and officials must realise that someone will have to pick up their rubbish at local tax payers’ expense.
By all means enjoy sport in the community, but please don’t be so arrogant as to think that you are exempt of all responsibility to help maintain the facilities provided for the enjoyment of all.
Or maybe the local authority could consider raising a levy on football teams to pay for additional litter collection?
