Staff served up a tasty treat at a festive show as they look to support a charity.

Hays Travel, in Station Road, Ashington, held a cake sale during the celebrations which saw the switching on of the town’s Christmas lights.

They offered teas, coffees, cakes, biscuits and juice in return for a donation.

Each year they support a charity with a fundraising drive to support the local community.

Last year they raised money for Eve Anderson while in the past have also supported the Alzheimer’s Society, St Oswald’s Hospice, Conchi football club, and Ashington Karate Club.

Over the next two years they are supporting Help For Heros, with staff member Sarah Davidson climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, in October 2016.

Sarah has to raise £4,000 to take part, with the first fundraising event the cake sale.
